We were honoured to meet minister Oleksandr Vasiuk, member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Legal Policy, and head of the inter-factional parliamentary association “Ukraine-US Strategic Partnership”.
Our CEO, Georgina Halford-Hall presented the minister with a certificate in recognition of his pioneering work as a Whistleblowing Champion and he accepted a life long membership of WhistleblowersUK agreeing to become our newest ambassador.
Minister Vasiuk shared his experience of the importance of whistleblowers as a central part of the Ukrainian anti corruption strategy. The Ukranian whistleblowing framework includes a rewards system of up to 10%, capped at £500,000, which provides both an incentive and future financial security for the whistleblower.
